Taylor Moore

A Charlottesville native, Taylor began his dance career in 2013, and went on to achieve national and world rankings as both an instructor and a professional competitor. He is a former owner of Blue Light Ballroom and retired from active dancing in the Spring of 2022.

As a teacher, Taylor enjoys making dance feel approachable and accessible to everyone. As a professional competitor, he received the 1st Place Top Teacher award from 5 different competitions, including several USADance competitions: the Carolina Fall Classic, and Southeastern DanceSport Championships. Additionally, he was at one point ranked 7th in the Professional World Peabody Championship, as well as 5th in the Pro/Am World Peabody Championship.

Post-retirement, Taylor has remained in the dance community as an active USADance Board member.
